Every year Manitoba Fisheries stocks millions of walleye fry in lakes & reservoirs in Southern Manitoba. These fry are pictured below. These fry come from two different hatcheries, the Whiteshell Hatchery which is open all year long & the Swan Creek Hatchery which is open for 2 months of the year. Stocking is a key piece for Manitoba to continue developing world class fisheries.
