Clearwater
Clearwater is an unincorporated community recognized as a Local Urban District in south-central Manitoba, located within the Municipality of Louise. It is home to the popular Harvest Moon Festival, a three-day music and organic farming event that brings in over 3,000 people each September.
On July 1st, Clearwater also hosts its annual baseball tournament, swelling the population from 80 to over 1,000. This close-knit community features a local grocery store, restaurant, hiking trails, rental facilities, event center, church, community hall, curling and skating arena, and ball diamonds.
Clearwater is proud to be the home of the Harvest Moon Learning Center and Harvest Moon Society.
Established in 1876, Clearwater originally sat within the Northwest Territories until Manitoba's border expanded in 1877. Two beautiful 100-year-old churches still stand today: St. Paul's Anglican Church (built in 1889, with its original interior) and Knox United Church (built in 1893 at a cost of $1,625).
