Lesson dates are tentative and subject to change as a result of availability and registration numbers.

Registration Note: filling out the form does not guarantee you have gotten into the lesson of your choice. You will be contacted by one of our pool staff members letting you know if your child(ren) get into the lessons of your choice. Municipality of Louise residents/land owners, and grandchildren of residents/land owners, will get priority.


SESSION INFORMATION AND TIMES

Intense: Runs twice a day for one week. Times are between 9:00am - 12:00pm for the first lesson and again between 4:00pm - 7:00pm for the second lesson.

2 - Week Evening: Runs once per day for two weeks. Time is between 4:00pm - 7:00pm

2 - Week Regular: Runs once per day for two weeks. Time is between 9:00am - 12:00pm

Parent & Tot 1
    (Ages 4 months - 12 months)
  • float and splash
  • entering and exiting the water safely with baby

  • get in and out of the water wearing a lifejacket
  • submerge and exhale under water
  • front and back glides with a lifejacket

  • jumping entry and sideways entry into deep water while wearing a lifejacket
  • recover objects from the bottom of waist-deep water
  • front and back kicking and gliding through the water

Rookie Patrol
  • 50m front crawl, back crawl and breaststroke
  • Lifesaving Sport Skills - 25m obstacle swim and 15m object carry
  • First Aid - assess conscious victim, contact EMS & treatment of bleeding
  • 350m workouts & 100m timed swims
Ranger Patrol
  • 75 m front crawl, back crawl and breaststroke
  • Lifesaving Sport Skills - lifesaving medley, timed object support and rescue with a buoyant aid
  • First Aid -  assess unconscious victims, treatment of victims in shock and obstructed airway procedures
Star Patrol
  • 600m workouts, 300m timed swims & 25m object carry
  • Strokes are redefined over 100m swims
  • First Aid - treatment of bone or joint injuries, respiratory emergencies (asthma and allergic reactions)
  • Lifesaving Sport Skills - defense methods, victim removals and rolling over and supporting a victim face up in shallow water
