Municipality of Louise
The Municipality of Louise is located in Central Manitoba, 148 km southwest of Manitoba’s capital city of Winnipeg and 105 km southeast of Manitoba’s second largest city, Brandon. The Municipality of Louise shares its border with the USA, the Municipality of Cartwright-Roblin, the Municipality of Pembina, the Municipality of Argyle and the Municipality of Lorne. The local urban districts of Clearwater, Crystal City, and Pilot Mound are the communities within Louise. Many families in Louise value the quiet rural lifestyle. Clearwater
Clearwater is an unincorporated community recognized as a local urban district in south central
Manitoba. It is located in the Municipality of Louise. It plays host to the Harvest Moon Festival
each September, a music and organic farming event which swells the community to over 3000
for three days. July 1st, Clearwater annual baseball tournament is a big draw for the community
increasing its population from 90 to over 1000 for the event. A close knit community with a local
grocery store and restaurant, hiking trails, rental facilities, event center, church, community
hall, curling club and skating arena, and ball diamonds. Enjoy some scenery of the valley on the
cross country ski trails in the winter, or by taking a walk over Clearwater's old railway bridge
that is now called the Skywalk Bridge.

Crystal City
Crystal City is an unincorporated community recognized as a local urban district in
the
Municipality of Louise within the Canadian province of Manitoba. It held village status prior to
January 1, 2015. The “Friendly Southern City” runs aside the most southern end of highway #3,
being only a 10 minute drive from the United States border. Population has increased by 1.3 %
according to the census data, with a population of about 400 people now. In the winter, enjoy a skating trail on the Crystal
City Creek and take in the beautiful scenery. In the summer, events such as the 4-H fair and
demolition derby are held for you and your family to enjoy.

Pilot Mound
Pilot Mound is an unincorporated community recognized as a local urban district that also
once
held town status in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It is located within the
Municipality of Louise approximately 60 km west of the City of Morden. Pilot Mound has a
population of approximately 700 people. The rolling landscape and nearby lakes provide
excellent hunting and fishing, as well as summer and winter recreation for snowmobile, ATV,
water-skiing, snow skiing, boating, and cross-country skiing. Pilot Mound also hosts an annual curling bonspiel, bi-annual
community auction, triathlon and more. The town has a first class arena complex with ice
surface, curling facility, daycare, theatre, museum and a hockey academy.
