Drought and flood are two sides of the same coin, and a broken water cycle is the root cause of both. During this day-long workshop, Takota will use his 250-acre family farm as a case study for low tech, low cost, nature-based solutions that build more effective and efficient water cycles.

This workshop is process oriented, principle based and grounded in the foundations of both permaculture design and holistic management. $75 + tax, lunch included.

Topics include:
• Principles of water harvesting
• Dugout, dam and swale design and placement
• Strategic snow harvesting
• Water harvesting earthworks and aquaculture
• Gravity water reticulation and flood irrigation
• Using Google Earth Pro and accessing contour maps
• Accessing contour maps
