Community Safety Reminder - Responsible Dog Ownership

The Municipality of Louise would like to remind residents of the importance of responsible pet ownership and dog safety within our communities.

A reminder for everyone to exercise caution around unfamiliar animals and to discuss safe interactions with dogs with children and family members and that dog owners must comply with the municipal By-Law #2021-05. Including the following:

Dogs are kept under control at all times.

Dogs off their owner's property are on a maximum leash length of 6ft and wearing a collar.

Dogs are properly licensed with the Municipality

Any concerns regarding aggressive or dangerous dogs are reported to the Dog Control Officer.

By working together and practicing responsible pet ownership, we can help ensure all the Municipality of Louise communities remain safe and welcoming for everyone.
